(here are a few things I found helped me over the years)...
1. Set your alarm clock to soft music in the morning instead of a screeching
alarm clock - better yet, have someone wake you gently..
2. Refrain from loud noise, water running, toilets flushing, tv's, radio's
etc., etc. for the first 30-45 minutes or so after waking up, then return to
normal sound levels.
3. If your T cranks up in the car on the way to work don't worry, this is
normal...If your T cranks up during work or under stress , dont worry, this is
normal...it will go back down.
4. Dont keep a T diary.
5. Enjoy everything as far as food is concerned.
6. On bad ear days, dont push yourself so hard. Kick back a little, grab a
book, turn on the tv, crawl under an afghan, go fishing, tell the world to go
to hell for a few hours and just relax.
7. Try not to take naps...nothing aggrevates tinnitus like naps - we're not
sure why..
8 . If your T is louder at night try taking a benadryl (if you can), sometimes
its just enough to help you relax a little and get to sleep a little early.
9. Avoid extremely loud places and noises.
10 .Accept, be patient, let time pass. If your religious a few prayers may
help..
