Everyone learns that tinnitus becomes more obvious in a quiet room. I wonder
if this experience of yours is caused because the wall is not a sound source
and thus is 'quieter' than other directions and so you become more aware of
your tinnitus.
I have noticed that my tinnitus is just as loud in a noisy room as in a
quiet room, but the noise draws my attention away from it.
