The 'shimmers' preceeded the migraines that were so disabling when I was a
kid. Once they began I knew I was going to be crushed by a headache.
They became milder and less frequent over the years.
I discovered that a tablespoon of sugar would stop them.
I have not had one shimmer since my tinnitus began almost three years ago...
