What you are describing sounds very much like a scintillating scotoma, but
it could be something else as well, especially if it is happening in only
one eye. If this persists (in one eye), please see an opthomologist to rule
out anything bad like an impending retinal detachment or tear. If it is
happening in both eyes at the same time, then there is less of a concern,
but you should still talk to your doctor, just to be sure.
BTW, most migraine headaches mimic sinus headaches.
