This may not mean anything, but I'm just trying to help. I have had Tinnitus for about 2 months.
My particular noise is a low volume (thank God) very high frequency sound. Strangely enough, it
is the same pitch as the compressor in my refrigerator (not the rumbling), and also the same
pitch as the motor on the fan I use when sleeping. About 10 days ago I got sick with the flu or
bronchitis which caused me to not crave too many cigarettes ( ultra lights). At the same time I
had begun to take Vitamin B12 (1000 mcg) a day, and Biaxin. So far, for the last three days my
tinnitus has gone! So as of yet, I am not sure if it was the reduction in nicotine, the B12, the
Biaxin, or any combination of these. Since I have gotten tinnitus, I am very moved when I read
about other people's various levels of this symptom and I pray to God that someone finds a cure
for us all. I can imagine that those people whose tinnitus is much louder than mine are really
suffering. I get the feeling that researchers are not trying hard enough to eradicate this ailment
or maybe there are just not enough resources to get the job done. Anyway, this may sound corny but
I believe that prayer can work miracles, so keep this in mind while battling your tinnitus. I
sincerely hope your problem goes away. Thank you for listening.
