I suffered from postpartum depression after my third child. I also developed post-partum thydoidits. Once the thyroid was under control, my general physician sent me to a Psychiatrist. He had tried Paxil for about six months and then a low dosaage of Zoloft. I have been diagnosed wiiith mild OCD and anxiety disorder. I am 27 years old and I am scared of the implications of being on these medications. I am currently taking 200 mg of Zoloft and my Psych. has just prescribed Depakote (500 mg/morning and 500 mg/night).
I stumbled across your site, hoping I can find some insight to my dilema. I have a constant ringing in the ears since on Depakote. Ocassionally, it is accompanied with a "shower-like" sound.Also, my eye sight semms to be suffering.
