I have read a couple of letters on Topomax and it's side effects on the Internet.
I am alarmed because I am experiencing exactly the same, but Topomax is working very well.
Should I still keep on using it if it has such side effects? I use 300 mg for
Bipolar Disorder. My side effects are hair loss, ringing ears, dryness in mouth,
very serious pricks in my limbs, forget words, weight loss, and now
suddenly and that is my BIG worry, I find that I am having trouble
with food digestion. I have never had a problem with heart burn. I now permanently
have heartburn - and it feels as if I have something "stuck" in my throat.
I have heard no one else complaining of this side effect but it is
difficult to explain, but I am sure it has to do with the Topomax.
I hope you might be able to advise whether this side effect is part of Topomax.
