I was seeing a neurologist in 1994 for a disc problem in my
neck that needed surgery. One day I noticed I could hear a
niose that sounded like my pulse. I asked him about it and
he told me it was tinnitus and his father had it and that it
never goes away and you learn to live with it. I went to my
ear doctor and tried the steriods too. Most of the time you
don't notice it unles it is quiet which is when you are
trying to go to sleep. The only two prayers I know are the
Lords prayer and Hail Mary so I repeat those two prayers
over and over until I fall asleep. It works much better
than counting sheep but distracts you from the noise.
Good luck with learning coping skills which is what you need
to develope.
