15 years ago I had a head injury and I got atypical meniere's syndrome from it. Very dizzy, tinnitus, etc. Nothing helped for a year. Then I saw an ENT who put me on a low salt diet and diazide, a diueretic medication. Within two weeks the dizziness was better. The feeling of fullness in my bad ear slowly went away (slowly, like four years!) The tinnitus never went away, but at least the other things got better. I stayed on the diazide a couple of years, slowly being tappered off. In the early phase, I really noticed that eating a high salt meal would really increase the sense of pressure, throbbing, etc. I felt coming from my bad ear. I also had positional vertigo which slowly (again, years) got better.
