Speaking with my father-in-law today and he mentioned (out of the blue...no
not mozark...LOL) something aboit tinnitus. After probing him about it I
found out that his tinnitus started 2 years ago and is almost gone. He
attributes this to his diet he is on.
The Atkin's diet. Mostly protein and restricted carbohydrate (refined and
simple)
Well I do not necesarily agree with all the concepts of the diet it does for
him exactly what is says it will do. He has been diagnosed diabetic for
about 5 years now (he is 71 years of age, overweight, short , good muscle
content , golfer). His blood levels have gone back to normal, nuch to the
amazement of his doctor. He has quit all his diabetic medications and his
tinnitus has gone to almost non-existant. He has lost about 17 pounds in 2-3
weeks (a little fast). His blood pressure has dropped to normal for his age
now and he says he feels better. He can drink again. The notable items in
this diet are no bread, grains, starchy vegetables and lots of protein!
I fear the rebound effects from this diet could be disastrous but for now it
seems to be working as stated.
weird stuff, but the information he got from Dr. Atkins (I read it too) says
exactly that should happen and it has.
