Does Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Dr. Pawel Jastreboff really work?

Does this therapy really work? I have tinnitus, primarily in one ear
and I just returned from a visit with the local doc who uses this
therapy. I'm just a bit skeptical..... is it really likely that this
annoying ringing can be eliminated?
