What does a typical audiogram for a 40 year old male look like?

Posted by Paul Ward

What does a typical audiogram for a 40 year old male look like? My last
audiogram ranges from +12 dB to +25 dB from 250 Hz to 8 kHz. The worst
frequency is 4 kHz, where there is a notch that touches + 25 dB. At
other frequencies, response is typically around + 15 dB. Both ears
essentially identical. Also, using the NCH downloadable tone generator,
I have determined that the response is relatively flat out to at least
15 kHz. Beyond that, it's tough to know whether it's the ear or the
generator that rolls off.

I'm wondering if this is considered a good or so-so audiogram.

Thanks
