Well first of all, he should give you a full hearing eveluation. Standard
Hearing Test with tympanometry and acoustic reflexes, otoacoustic emissions,
and ABR (if warranted).

He should take a full history and give a full otological and brief
neurological exam.

If you have any dizziness, report that to him immediately.

If he has no answers, find another ENT, preferrably an otologist or a
otoneurologist.

If you have no other problems bessides tinnitus, you will probably not get
much sympatghy from the doc. You will get more help and understanding from
the audiologist.
