The clicks are very loud! However, a good audiologist will be able to
perform the test with softer clicks, although the results will be a little
more difficult to interpret. This was the recommendation for me, since the
loud clicks caused involuntrary twitching in my face, creating what is known
as muscle artifact and ruining the test.
You should speak to the audiologist beforehand about this. If she has a
problem with this, find one who knows what they are doind, preferrably one
with a PhD.
